Hi Everyone!

“Beyond the Pearly Gates of Ill-Repute”, a short film I wrote and directed with a friend of mine, will be screening at the Fantasia Film Festival, before “The Descendant”, a feature film by local filmmaker Philippe Spurrell.

Here is what Fantasia Programmer Mitch Davis had to say about the flick:

A young woman finds shelter at the doors of Miss Peggy’s Boarding House. Relief shifts to dread when she learns that the boarding house is actually a brothel – and she has just been "hired"! “Beyond the Pearly Gates of Ill-Repute” is a wicked little comedy, which perfectly mimics the aesthetic and tone of a 1920’s stag film, complete with piano soundtrack, inter-titles, high-contrast B&W cinematography and shyly succulent S-I-N!

When: Thursday July 20th, 7:45pm
Where: Hall Building Theater, Concordia University (1455 de Maisonneuve Ouest)
How much: 7.50$ (for both films)
