Hi!

In case you're not already aware, Val Lonergan and Alec Mathewson recently produced a short film called SLICE OF LIFE, and it's premiering at the Just for Laughs/Comedia Festival next week! It's the first stop on a hopefully long and prosperous festival tour.

This hilarious mockumentary stars actor/stand up comic Derick Lengwenus ("Montreal's reigning king of deadpan" – Mirror Magazine) as a pizza guy making eventful deliveries to a slew of up-and-coming names in the Montreal comedy scene -- including Jeanne Bowser, Jay Whiting, Christophe Davidson, Massimo Cannistraro, Rodney Ramsey and Kwasi Thomas.

It was shot over three days in April 2006 in a style spoofing the TV show, COPS. Capitalizing on the awesome improvisational talents of our actors, much of the film's dialogue is improvised. It was a ton of fun to make, and it's a ton of fun to watch.

We'd love for you to come out next week to help support the film! What's more is that the Comedia "Eat My Shorts!" evenings combine live stand-up comedy with the short films, so it makes for a great night out!
