 Welcome to the Montreal Film Group!
Our mission is to bring together like-minded film and TV folks who are eager to be part of a thriving - and growing - community. To do this, we promote networking and learning through an active News page and popular networking events or workshops every few months.
The MFG's philosophy is that it's never too soon to grow your network... and it's never too late to learn a few new tricks.
Founded in 2004, we are proud to draw together over 2300 local film and TV industry members from many different backgrounds.
Their positions in the field range from directors to actors, indies to broadcasters, stunt people to entertainment lawyers, and many points in-between.
Members of the MFG hail from important local businesses and organizations such as the NFB, CBC, Global, Just for Laughs, Canadian Heritage, Alliance Atlantis, EyeSteelFilm, Muse Productions, Cinema du Parc and the Segal Center for Performing Arts as well as dozens of other places big and small.
The MFG now goes beyond the Montreal scene, too. We enjoy the participation of members in locations including: New York (including the New York Film Academy), Los Angeles, London, Philadelphia, Rochester, Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Vancouver, Brussels, Sweden, Buenos Aires, Drummondville, Lachute and beyond!
