CreativeMatter presents Morbidly Obese

"North Americans are the most obese people on the planet and there is no end in sight for the increase in girth and weight. Patients afflicted with Morbid Obesity have a shorter life expectancy then those afflicted by HIV, yet the latter is considered a disease and the former is considered a human frailty. In the last decade, doctors have devised a new way of combating morbid obesity – Bariatric Surgery, an operation whereby surgeons re-arrange a person's large intestine, making their stomach the size of a shot glass. The patient is unable to eat and quickly loses weight.

Morbidly Obese is a one hour Documentary chronicling the lives, struggles and metamorphosis of three Morbidly Obese Canadians who decide to undergo bariatric surgery."
